Susan Easton1 StarPaid £425 for bay roof gutter repair and new felting last year. To cut a long story short the repair was unsuccessful although water was not coming through the ceiling as before it was apparently seeping through enough for the middle of the bay ceiling to cave in when I took the blown vynl wallpaper off, to redecorate a month ago. I had to remove the rest of the plaster as it was also perished to a lesser degree. My beef with this company is that, although they were unaware (as was I) until a month ago that they didn't bother to come and even look at my roof (as they said they would) in over a month even though the owner lives 5 minutes away from me! I am a 69 year old woman who comes from an era when you could trust peoples word. At the time, I asked how long the job was guaranteed for and for a receipt. I was told "you don't need a receipt...just call us and we'll be back if there's a problem". Well they haven't been back, despite giving them a month, they didn't answer my calls and I can't get compensation for fixing my ceiling because I never got a receipt so have no proof...and I'm an honest person so wouldn't 'blag' one off someone else.Sunday 19th May 2024
